Hello, I'm Rachel
I’m 30 years old and married to my incredible husband, Aaron, for 10 years now. We have three lively children and we live in the heart of the Midwest. I was born and raised in Kansas in a house full of 5 girls. My mom homeschooled all five of us and creating was always included in our home education. After graduating high school I attended a local community college to study art. I was blessed to receive a work scholarship through the art department there and became fully immersed in the artist’s lifestyle. While there, huge portions of my day were dedicated to painting, drawing, ceramics, or design. Shortly after graduating college, I married Aaron and began attempting to adjust to a new life. It was difficult to go from creating so much of the time to hardly at all. So much of my life looked different and sadly I allowed the creative side of me to sit in the shadows and collect dust for far too long.
A few years ago I felt a spark for creating reignite within me and I picked up my art supplies for the first time in what felt like a very long while. I haven’t been able to stop since, and thanks to a very supportive husband, I have been spending as much time as possible behind the paintbrush enjoying the creative process and refining my artistic voice. I rediscovered the joy that creating brings me and the way that God speaks to me through my creative process.
As I’ve shared my art, and my creative journey with others, I have been captivated by the way that art speaks something so unique to each person and the power that it possesses to transport people to a fond memory or place of hope. I believe life’s most beautiful moments are meant to be revisited and replayed, like a favorite song that lives on repeat. I hope my art allows you to relive the most precious moments of your life at a glance, and fills your heart with joy and inspiration for the future.
